Simple Data Import, Export, and Updating
Based on standards and helps eliminate transcription errors
Silverstone Matchmaker was architected to support the most straight-forward approach
for recipient/donor data import and export. Matchmaker makes use of the standard
.csv file format for the data input and output files. This standard import/export
file type is supported by every primary enterprise or small clinic core database.
This approach removes the complexity of trying to directly integrate the application
with the clinic’s primary database and assures data integrity with any
backend system.
Also, by treating the recipient/donor data as a separate instance within Matchmaker, the application is able to apply an “Anonymize” data command which assures complete patient privacy within the application regardless of the person reviewing the data.
For importing, any directory on the Silverstone Matchmaker host machine can
be designated as the import directory. Given the frequency with which this
data will be updated and re-imported into the application, a helpful history
list is generated and tracked providing an audit trail of import files and
modification dates. As the database is being populated on import or update,
a real-time error report is also generated to help flag potential data transcription
errors. Any of the import files can be easily updated by simply rewriting
the .csv file into the import directory and choosing the Matchmaker Update
command.

Within a single-screen layout, the user is presented with all the primary tools necessary to track imported data files. The user is guided through the import and updating processes with in-line instructions that detail the step-by-step procedures.
