Intuitive Tabbed Interface
Easing access to the most important analysis
The overall look and feel for the standalone version of Silverstone Matchmaker
is a straight-forward tabbed interface which provides all the analysis views
of the data matching along with recipient/donor case management in one, easy
to navigate, application interface. The application starts up in the
innovative “Matchmaker” tab which presents a single integrated
view of the current status for all primary database statistics. All of the
stats, including sorts, number of pair matches, and recipient/donor pairs on
hold or available, are easily accessible from this view by clicking on the
icon associated with each statistic. Over time, as more data is updated, this
view of current status becomes a powerful dashboard for understanding the potential
of the recipient/donor pool.
Throughout the tabbed interface, the doctor and clinician are able to
introspect the entire recipient/donor pool as well as drill-down on any
particular potential matched pair. The interface provides lookups for
all virtual cross-match (“VXM”) data. Using clinic configurable
6 and 14 antigen compares, Matchmaker presents individual tabs for VXM-6
and VXM-14 2-way and 3-way matches as well as an optimized VXM-6 list.
It also provides access to those participants who remain unmatched in
the total pool.
These first level tabs also provide access to the Case Management functionality
of the application, a key area of functionality that allows collection of the
most promising matched recipient/donor pairs into one centrally located area
in the application.
Like
most resource management commands in Matchmaker, a simple selection of a potential
recipient or donor along with a right-click on the selected record provides
access to list associations, case management commands, HTML report generation,
and pair status control.
Ultimately, this approach of a single level access to key data views overcomes the intuition problems that result from more deeply nested commands and views. It also provides a straight-forward mechanism for feature customization should the clinic wish to commission the creation of new features or functionality from Silverstone Solutions Professional Services.
